Welcome

The Canadian Society for Aesthetics / La Societé canadienne d'esthétique (CSA/SCE) provides a bilingual, inter-disciplinary forum for scholars, artists, and students interested in critical inquiry into the arts and related fields. It aims to increase awareness of aesthetic issues and to promote Canadian scholarship both within Canada and abroad. The CSA / SCE fosters links with other national societies by means of its membership in the International Association of Aesthetics and its participation in the Association's International Congresses.

Since its inception in 1983, the Society has been committed to bringing scholars and artists together to keep aesthetics in close touch with the artistic practices that inform the discipline. We welcome new members.

The Society publishes the electronic journal Æ and facilitates communication with its members via the CSA/SCE electronic information list. We meet annually at the Congress of the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences.
